What we Believe the Bible Teaches
The Divine inspiration and authority of the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21).
We believe that God supernaturally created the heavens and the earth in six successive ordinary days through Jesus Christ and the operation of the Holy Spirit. Humanity is God's direct creation, made in the divine image, and is not the result of evolution. The Genesis account is the trustworthy historical record of creation (Genesis 1:1, 27, 31; Exodus 20.11; Jeremiah 10:11–12; Mark 10:6; John 1:1–3, 10; Acts 17: 24–26; Colossians 1:16; Revelation 14:7).
The existence of One God in three persons - The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 1:10-11; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2).
The Deity (Hebrews 1:3, 8; Colossians 2:9; John 1:1; Titus 2:13; 2 Peter 1:1); and Incarnation (John 1:14; Luke 1:31-35; 2 John 1:7) of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God (Mark 1:1; Luke 1:35; Romans 1:4).
The Deity of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; Acts 5:3-4; 2 Corinthians 13:14) and His work in the regeneration of human beings (John 3:5-7), and in their sanctification (Romans 8:13-16; 2 Thessalonians 2:13).
The Divine inspiration and authority of the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21).
The personality and malignancy of the devil (1 Chronicles 21:1; Ephesians 6:11-12; 1 Peter 5:8), the fallen, sinful, and lost estate of all humanity (Romans 3:23; 5:12-14; 7:11-13; Galatians 3:22).
The Salvation of human beings from the penalty of sin through:
The virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31-35)
His perfect obedience (Philippians 2:8; 1 Peter 2:22)
His shed blood (Romans 5:9; Colossians 1:20; Hebrews 9:22)
His atoning death (Romans 3:25; Hebrews 2:17; 1 John 2:2)
His bodily resurrection from the dead (Romans 1:4; 1 Peter 1:3; 3:21)
His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19; Hebrews 1:3, 13)
His unchanging priesthood (Hebrews 5:6; 6:20; 7:3).
The necessity of repentance towards God and of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. (Matthew 4:17; Acts 20:21; John 3:16; John 5:24; Acts 16:31).
The resurrection of the dead (1 Corinthians 15:12-24; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17) and final judgement of all humanity by the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 14:10; 2 Corinthians 5:10; John 5:28-29; 2 Thessalonians 1:6-10).
The visible bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16), the eternal punishment of the unrepentant, and the eternal blessedness of the redeemed. (John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:11-15; John 14:1-3).
